Role and Facility Information
This clinic is a stabilization service for patients in the Campbell River community and surrounding area and offers same day episodic appointments. The Urgent Primary Care Clinic has four exam rooms and offers extended hours providing opportunities for patient appointments from 8:30 am – 7:30 pm Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and statutory holidays. Island Health is actively recruiting more providers to offer this important primary care service. This clinic offers flexibility, competitive provider service contracts, a team-base care model and the opportunity to be part of a vital primary care service in the Campbell River community. The clinic is located adjacent to the North Island Hospital - Campbell River; it is staffed with MOAs, nurses and providers working in a collaborative care approach. No overhead contribution by physician to clinic. Community Information: The beautiful oceanfront City of Campbell River, population 38,000, is located at mid-point on Vancouver Island’s east coast. The surrounding waters of Discovery Passage, and adjacent numerous lakes and rivers, offer an idyllic setting for outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoy year-round access to world-class golf courses or visit Mt. Washington Resort for spectacular winter skiing and summer mountain biking and hiking. The Campbell River municipal airport is a mere 10 minutes from the heart of downtown and is a busy hub of activity.
