Role and Facility Information
This Vancouver clinic is looking to have a Family Physician join their clinical team. As part of a multi-disciplinary approach to full-service family medicine, an interested physician would work collaboratively in the team environment and start their own patient panel as per Ministry requirements. This will be a full-time or part-time salaried position. This clinic is excited to add to their team a Family Physician interested in working together to provide primary care for the surrounding community of patients. This initiative is part of Primary Care Networks (PCNs) evolving in Vancouver. FPs interested in this opportunity should be willing to work collaboratively and participate in PCN development in the community. Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society Clinic is located on the unceded Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh territory in Vancouver’s downtown eastside and is looking to grow their team. They are a full-scope family practice that is supported by a mental health counsellor, elders, a dietician, a social worker, and a nurse who does blook work, immunizations, wound care, pap smear screening, and STI treatments. The clinic has 8 physicians working in the clinic and conducts appointments both virtually and in person. The clinic serves a predominantly urban Indigenous population, although not exclusively so. Many of the patients struggle with chronic illnesses (HIV, HCV, Diabetes, COPD) in the context of poverty, homelessness, substance use disorders, and mental health issues. Interested candidates must have completed opioid agonist therapy training, or be willing to complete it with the clinic. Clinical Service Contract: $349 048 (per 1.0 FTE/1680 hours per year; prorated for part-time work; minimum 0.2) $25 000 signing bonus ((per 1.0 FTE; prorated for part-time work; minimum 0.2 FTE) $40 000 per year relational care panel payment (per 1.0 FTE/year; prorated for part-time work; minimum 0.2 FTE)" in the job description.
