Role and Facility Information

John Ruedy Clinic, St. Paul’s Hospital (West End, PCN 1), at St. Paul’s Hospital is looking to grow their team of healthcare professionals providing primary care to HIV-positive individuals. The clinic has been offering longitudinal primary care for individuals living with HIV who are medically or psychosocially complex for over two decades. The program also provides supervision and teaching to a variety of medical trainees, including (but not limited to) medical students, residents, fellows, and enhanced skills trainees. 2 positions available: 1 full day per week or, alternatively, 2 half days per week, to a maximum of 2 days per week. Physicians will be fully supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team and will attach a longitudinal panel of patients. The successful candidate must be Licentiates of the Medical Council of Canada and hold a current BC Medical License with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC (CPSBC), and meet credentialing requirements at PHC (this includes sign-off from the applicant’s respective Department Head). Applicants with experience in addiction medicine and/or HIV medicine will be prioritized. Educational opportunities are available for interested candidates without HIV medicine expertise. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams is an asset.
