Role and Facility Information
This Vancouver clinic is looking to have a Nurse Practitioner join their clinical team. As part of a multi-disciplinary approach to full-service family medicine, an interested NP would work collaboratively in the team environment and start their own patient panel as per Ministry requirements.
This will be a full-time or part-time salaried position. The contract is for a 12–36-month term. This clinic is excited to add to their team a Nurse Practitioner interested in working together to provide primary care for the surrounding community of patients.
A not-for-profit organization offering primary care and dental services in the vibrant Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. They are a full-scope family practice supported by a clinical pharmacy on-site that also functions as a diabetes educator and assists in various aspects of chronic disease management. The team consists of 7 physicians, 2 nurse practitioners, 2 registered nurses, and 5 medical office assistants. The patient population is diverse, representing different ages, cultures, socioeconomic statuses, and medical complexity. The clinic has 8 exam rooms, 1 procedure room, 2 admin offices for telehealth appointments and a shared clinician workspace to promote teamwork. The clinic conducts appointments both in person and virtually.
The clinic’s experienced support team of MOAs are trained to take patient vitals and measurements, ensure room preparation and procedure set-up, assist with referral tracking and processing third-party record requests.
With the support of their Oscar OSP, EMR and built-in virtual technology (Cortico), daily processes are streamlined. This includes online appointment booking, encounter templates for faster charting, pre-visit questionnaires, and automatic patient notifications to reduce no-shows. The secure patient portal makes sending lab requisitions, prescriptions, and patient communication much easier.
Hours: The clinic hours are currently Mon-Fri, 9 am-6 pm, with extended hours on Tuesdays (8 am- 8 pm) and Saturdays, 10 am-4 pm. (Scheduling is flexible)
