Come join our growing Primary Care Network in qathet/Powell River as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. We will support you to meet with our local clinics to determine the clinic of best fit for you. In this position you will provide comprehensive primary care to your own panel of patients alongside other NPs and FPs. We have a cohesive staff team ready to support you, including wonderful MOAs, RN, social worker, and primary care clinical pharmacist.
Located on the mainland 120 km northwest of Vancouver, the community offers a multitude of opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast with many parks, beaches, lakes, and hiking/mountain bike trails. Add in a thriving arts and cultural community, and spectacular West Coast scenery, and you’ll see why those who visit want to stay! The town is large enough to offer every amenity to its 22,000 inhabitants (great coffee shops and diverse cuisine), but small enough to maintain a friendly community ambiance.
This contract position is part of the Primary Care Network Initiative. Across British Columbia, Divisions of Family Practice, Health Authorities, First Nations, and community partners are working to establish primary care networks (PCNs). PCNs are community-based networks of Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists and allied health professionals working together to provide coordinated health in one geographical location.
