Role and Facility Information
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be joining a team of three other Family Physicians (FP) providing timely care for the patients in each practice as well as building up their own panel of patients. The primary function of the NP is to assess, diagnose, and treat non-life-threatening illnesses. The NP will be working with patients across the lifespan within the optimized NP scope of practice to evaluate, manage, and treat the patients in their own practice as well as covering overflow from the other FP’s practices when they are on holiday. We require each applicant to apply for Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) for our clinic or some other appropriate form of liability insurance The NP will be responsible and accountable for the comprehensive assessment of patients and clients including diagnosing diseases, disorders and conditions. Initiates treatment including health care management, therapeutic interventions and prescribes medications in accordance with the statutory and regulatory standards, limits and conditions, and employer policies and procedures.
