Requisites
Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License (Provisional), Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) Eligible (Mandatory), Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) (Mandatory)
Role and Facility Information
The incoming physician will be joining a team of three other Family Physicians (FP) providing timely care for the patients in the practice, alongside the opportunity to build their own panel. The incoming physician will be working with patients across the life course, provide care to patients on their panel along with providing coverage for other practitioners when they are on vacation.
The clinic also works alongside a mental health clinician who provides clinical support to patients.
We require each applicant to apply for Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) for our clinic or some appropriate form of liability insurance.
The incoming physician will be responsible and accountable for the comprehensive assessment of patients, including diagnosing diseases and conditions. Initiates treatment including health care management, therapeutic interventions and prescribes medications in accordance with the statutory and regulatory standards, limits and conditions and employer policy and procedures.
LFP, FFS or New to practice contracts are all acceptable
Overhead split is based on billing 75/25%.
Holidays negotiable depending on locum coverage
Will include both in office and virtual appts.
Oncall coverage rotates between the doctors at the clinic.
