About the Opportunity The Central Interior Rural Primary Care Network is seeking a passionate, Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team providing health care to the community of Anahim Lake, Ulkatcho First Nation. About the Area The Chilcotin is rich and vibrant in both ranching and indigenous history, with strong cultural influences. There is access to a wide variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, skiing, fishing and other water activities. The Central Interior Rural region currently has 4 Primary Care Nurse Practitioners who enjoy working in our Northern Communities of Williams Lake and 100 Mile House. These positions offer a balanced practice for those wanting to enjoy a rural lifestyle. Within a smaller network of Physicians and other practitioners with great community need, there are endless opportunities for professional experience and growth which can be catered to your interests and goals. This position offers: Collaborative working relationship with other health care practitioners in the region including Nurse Practitioners and Physicians A Primary Care Network (PCN) of team-based care resources for referral support and consultation, including Social Workers, a Respiratory Therapist, a Clinical Pharmacist, a Mental Health and Substance Use clinician, an Occupational Therapist and more to come Principal Duties and Responsibilities The NP will collaborate with various community agencies, surrounding aboriginal communities, and multidisciplinary health services in the delivery of comprehensive, holistic patient centered health care that is delivered in a culturally safe manner. The communities vary in size and on-site health care staff. We do our best to connect you to other NPs and GPs who can offer you mentorship and support as you grow your practice. Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience Valid Driver's License Willingness to provide care at multiple sites in the Chilcotin Remuneration and Incentives Annual salary based on current PCN NP contract, $150k for 1st year, going up to $160k by 3rd year and $75k per year for overhead.
