Role and Facility Information
Starting in late October 2026 for one year, this locum covers a 3-day-per-week practice of approximately 700 patients, with up to 10 weeks of vacation coverage annually. It’s a great opportunity to build relationships with a patient panel while exploring LCCHC as a potential long-term practice.
The Lower Columbia Community Health Centre (LCCHC) in Trail is a non-profit, community-governed clinic providing team-based primary care. Our interprofessional team includes Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Registered Nurses, and Medical Office Assistants, with access to additional services through the Kootenay Boundary Primary Care Network. Physicians are supported to work to full scope, with minimal administrative burden.
LCCHC is also a University of British Columbia (UBC) teaching site, with opportunities to work with residents and medical students.
Located in the West Kootenays, Trail offers a strong sense of community and easy access to outdoor recreation, including skiing, biking, hiking, and water activities, along with affordable housing and convenient regional travel.
