Role and Facility Information
We are seeking a flexible arrangement for a Family Physician interested in being attached to LCCHC without taking on their own patient panel. This option is ideal if you’re planning a family in the next few years, prefer not to commit to a full practice, or want to maintain flexibility to work in other areas (e.g., hospitalist, emergency department). We will work with you to build a schedule that fits your broader work and life plans, with an expectation of approximately 3–6 months per year (in flexible increments). This arrangement helps you stay connected to the team while maintaining eligibility for panel-based funding. Details can be tailored to your specific needs. The LCCHC in Trail is a non-profit, community-governed clinic providing team-based primary care. Our interprofessional team includes Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Registered Nurses, Licenced Practical Nurses, Community Health Workers, Physiotherapy and Medical Office Assistants, with access to additional services through the Kootenay Boundary Primary Care Network. Physicians are supported to work to full scope, with minimal administrative burden. LCCHC is also a University of British Columbia (UBC) teaching site, with opportunities to work with residents and medical students. Located in the West Kootenays, Trail offers a strong sense of community and easy access to outdoor recreation, including skiing, biking, hiking, and water activities, along with affordable housing and convenient regional travel.
