Role and Facility Information

Duties and Responsibilities

•Apply nursing knowledge and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions based on evidence, legislation, regulations, and policy.
•Collect, analyze, and interpret health information from multiple data sources to make evidence informed decisions for individuals, families, groups, and communities.
•Provide individualized, client centered care by identifying what matters most to clients/families, assessing health status, setting priorities, and aligning professional services with client goals.
•Coordinate Community Health and Home Care programs, promoting family and community support while encouraging client independence.
•Establish therapeutic relationships and provide emotional support by understanding client and family perspectives, learning needs, and priorities.
•Supervise and provide direction to Home Support Workers, ensuring safe and appropriate care delivery.
•Use evidence and research to influence health policies and programs, addressing population health, health inequities, determinants of health, and strategies for prevention and health promotion.
•Advocate for and apply culturally relevant, culturally safe approaches when building relationships and delivering nursing services

Salary Range: : $94,724- $114,264

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
• Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience.
Occupational Certification
• Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
• Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists is an asset
• Valid Driver’s License
