Role and Facility Information

Urban Care Medical, an outpatient facility in Willowbrook, is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician to join our team. This is a locum position, offering a unique compensation package. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional healthcare services to a patient volume of over 1400. You will work closely with 3 other healthcare professionals and MOA support to diagnose, treat, and manage patients' health conditions. Your role will also involve conducting regular patient check-ups, interpreting lab tests, and providing advice on lifestyle changes for disease prevention. We are looking for a candidate who is patient-focused, committed to maintaining up-to-date knowledge in their field, and ready to make a significant contribution to our team.

Clinic hours are between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Hospital privileges are not required, 0% hospital billing. We are ideally located on ground floor of Professional Health Building, near Costco with ergonomic work spaces to optimize work and patient flow. There is barrier-free access to many specialists, allied health providers, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and clinical counsellors to support the patients. We have 5 exam rooms, 1 common room, and 1 small office. Our office and treatment rooms are fully equipped.

As a locum, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients on a temporary basis, filling in for a physician from January 20th, 2025 for 6-9 months. The duration can be covered by one locum or split amongst a few - we are fine with any period of coverage in the time period. We are prioritizing April initially and then each month there-after.

Compensation for this position will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on experience, qualifications, and coverage (physician-specific). LFP billing. Our EMR is Accuro.

Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License (Full), Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) (Mandatory), Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) (Mandatory)
