Role and Facility Information
The Cowichan Valley Division of Family Practice Society is seeking a family practitioner to work with a team of practitioners and other health providers to collectively deliver care to patients in the Central Duncan Area, working out of the CareBridge Clinic as part of the Cowichan Primary Care Network. The CareBridge Clinic aims to provide attachment for community members in Cowichan who currently do not have a primary care provider. This position will provide regular primary care and will provide care both in the clinic and in the community as needed. The Physician has the option to include community services in their practice, such as apply for hospital privileges to provide inpatient care at CDH, support Long-term-care and do maternity clinic work. In this service contract position the Family Practitioner will participate as a member of an inter-professional team that will include Nurse Practitioners, other FPs, medical office assistants, registered nurses, social workers and behavioral health consultants. The Family Practitioner will participate in an after-hours call group, sharing after-hours coverage with other practitioners at the clinic. Overhead: $75,000 per year Benefits May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy Agreement (RSA), such as: •Retention Premium = 4.2% •Retention Flat Fee = $6,508.80 •Recruitment Incentive (pro-rated) $10,000 •Relocation Costs Reimbursement up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount depending on location relocating from) •CME: - Years 3 & 4: $2,200/annum - After 4 years: $4,400/annum The above amounts are current as of August 2024 and may be subject to change.
