Role and Facility Information

Join our growing Primary Care Network in qathet/Powell River as a Family Physician. We will support you to meet with local clinics to determine the clinic of best fit for you (either MedAccess or Juno EMRs). We have a cohesive staff team ready to support you and as well as wonderful MOAs, RNs, Social Workers, and soon, a pharmacist. In this position you will be able to focus on delivering care in your scope for your own panel of patients. We are open to both full time and part time positions.

Located on the mainland 120 km northwest of Vancouver, the community offers a multitude of opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast with many parks, beaches, lakes, and hiking/mountain bike trails. Add in a thriving arts community, and spectacular West Coast scenery, and you’ll see why those who visit want to stay! The town is large enough to offer every amenity to its 22,000 inhabitants (great coffee shops and diverse cuisine), but small enough to maintain a friendly community ambiance.

This contract position is part of the Primary Care Network Initiative. Across British Columbia, Divisions of Family Practice, Health Authorities, First Nations, and community partners are working to establish primary care networks (PCNs). PCNs are community-based networks of Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists and allied health professionals working together to provide coordinated health in one geographical location.
