RADIOLOGIST – Vancouver, BC The Department of Medical Imaging at Mount Saint Joseph (MSJ) Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia is seeking permanent radiologists to expand our hospital practice. MSJ Hospital is a bustling and diverse community health care centre near Vancouver General and St. Paul's Hospitals. Situated in the heart of East Vancouver, we are proud to be part of a vibrant neighbourhood known for its rich cultural mix, artistic spirit, and strong community bonds. East Vancouver boasts an eclectic array of local shops, trendy cafes, and beautiful parks, offering a lively and welcoming environment with the convenience of being close to downtown and excellent public transit options. Position Summary The successful applicant will be joining a small but agile and collegial group, providing interpretations for CT, general x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, and basic fluoroscopy, and performing non-vascular general interventions, including breast surgery localizations. For qualified and interested applicants, there may also be opportunities to maintain an MRI practice within Providence Health Care. Our department collaborates closely with the Providence Breast Centre, with breast imaging comprising approximately one-third of our practice. Senior UBC Radiology residents rotate through our department on core breast imaging rotations, and multidisciplinary clinical rounds are held regularly with the breast surgical oncology and breast pathology groups. We are in the early stages of establishing a breast MRI program, offering an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the development and growth of this new initiative within our department. All radiologists in our group share equally in the on-call schedule, providing after-hours coverage for the MSJ Emergency Department (operating from 8 am to 8 pm), as well as inpatient care. The position's start date is flexible and will be discussed at the time of the interview. Qualifications Candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology (FRCPC) and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
